  Brief Description:

Summary INTRODUCTION Your new ADC® Platinum Edition ADSCOPETM stethoscope is designed to provide unsurpassed acoustic sensitivity, unrivaled durability, and unparalleled comfort. Every component has been carefully designed to maximize performance. The multi-frequency diaphragm only chestpiece assures that you will hear body sounds louder and capture subtle sound qualities that often escape from lower quality stethoscopes. ADC’s advanced Platinum Edition ADSCOPETM chestpiece enables you to easily switch between low and high frequency response without rotating the chestpiece. The traditional bell and diaphragm chestpiece sides have been incorporated into a single sided chestpiece. For low frequency response (bell phase) simply hold the chestpiece in place with light pressure. High frequency monitoring is achieved with firm pressure onthe sculpted chestpiece. Chestpiece and binaurals (eartubes) are machined from surgical stainless steel for rugged durability. Custom molded bilumen PVC tubing with internal spring remains supple and flexible. Two pairs of ADSOFTTM PVC rotating eartips with threaded metal inserts provide the ultimate in wearing comfort and acoustic seal. (Platinum Edition ADSCOPETM only.) Your ADC® Platinum Edition ADSCOPETM stethoscope is protected by a lifetime quality performance guarantee. REPLACING THE DIAPHRAGM Your ADC® Platinum Edition ADSCOPETM is equipped with an ultrasensitive, yet extremely durable diaphragm formulated from a compound of epoxy resin fiberglass. In the unlikely event that it ever needs replacement, a spare is included. To remove a worn diaphragm, snap off diaphragm retaining ring. Carefully seat replacement diaphragm along track in rim. Snap rim back onto chestpiece taking care to ensure the rim engages along entire diameter of chestpiece. CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Avoid extreme heat, cold, solvents, or oils. • Do not leave exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
