Midmark Corporation, the industry leader in integrated digital diagnostic devices for ambulatory care, today announced the completed integration of its Midmark IQstressTM system and adoption of its IQpathTM thin client and ASP device solution by GEMMS.
Midmark’s IQstress system joins the IQecg™ IQspiro™, and IQholter™ to create a complete suite of digital diagnostic solutions seamlessly integrated with GEMMS ONE EMR. Physicians benefit from a seamless integration that allows them to perform tests and store the results in the patient’s chart, all within GEMMS ONE. Workflow efficiency is improved when time is saved by eliminating the need to re-enter patient data.
“The integration of Midmark’s IQstress means we can offer our customers a smooth workflow for acquiring vital test data and inserting the results directly into the patient’s chart within GEMMS ONE,” said Brian Bromberek, VP Sales & Marketing for GEMMS. Bromberek added, “Having the IQpath solution available for our thin client customers eliminates issues associated with variable bandwidth and latency from one site to the next.”
The Midmark IQstress system is an affordable, easy-to-use system that combines sophisticated cardiac testing with straightforward features aimed at improving workflow efficiency. It includes a lightweight, digital ECG, integrated stress analysis software, stress cart and a medical grade treadmill. IQstress is offered in two configurations – for the office that already has a computer system in place or as a complete turn-key system with computer, monitor, and printer.

IQpath addresses thin client operating environment concerns such as network latency and clinical workflow issues that can occur as a result of network congestion. This solution serves as a software extension to Microsoft® Windows Terminal Services or Citrix® Independent Computing Architecture (ICA®), providing a robust communication channel that ensures custom application data is delivered without data corruption or loss of clinical data. Additionally, IQpath eliminates the need for com port mapping when using the USB IQ brand products.
