CT Clinical Case Study CT Cardiac Coronary CTA Exam Using SnapShot Pulse in Less Than 1 Second of X-ray Exposure and at 1.1 mSv Patient history A coronary CTA exam (Figures 1 & 2) was requested in order to evaluate the coronary arteries of a 48-year-old man (1.5 m, 46 kg, BMI = 20.4) with risk factors (high cholesterol, family history and smoking) and atypical angina. Technique The exam was performed on a LightSpeed® VCT XT evaluation system using the GE-exclusive SnapShot™ Pulse scanning mode. Scan parameters were optimized considering the morphology, the age of the patient and the indication of the exam. The dose delivered during the examination was 1.1 mSv†. The total exposure time was 0.7 second with a scan time of 5 seconds.
