Used for stone manipulation and removal in the urinary tract.The nitinol memory wire allows the basket to retain its shape following extreme torsion.The unique tipless design aids in calyceal stone capture by allowing the basket to open at the base of the calyx and encircle the stone. The tipless design reduces the likelihood of mucosal damage and perforation. The 3.0 and 3.2 French versions have a flexible sheath that permits continuous, full deflection of a flexible ureteroscope during stone manipulation. The helical basket version provides torque to aid in stone capture.
