EXCOR is a left-ventricular assist system intended for use in human beings. It can be used both for univentricular (LVAD or RVAD) support and for biventricular support. Cannulation can be placed in the atrium or the ventricle.
The EXCOR system may only be operated using EXCOR components (cf. page 53) and all indications, contraindications and instructions for use should be observed.
